The Fordham Unit # 2901 is a stunning three bedroom / three bathroom home currently available.
In a recent press release from the Illinois Association of Realtors, it has been reported that home sales are up 9.3% compared to only one year ago. Additionally, homes are selling quicker than they were in the same time frame in 2016, with an increase in price over as well. The 12.4% increase in home prices may be a result of the low inventory that realtors in the city are reporting. In the same press release the Chicago Association of Realtors president, Matt Silver said “Our year-over-year numbers continue to demonstrate the strength of the Chicago market, as properties are being snatched up at a pace rarely seen, with higher prices across the board and rising interest rates – trends that will continue (barring ongoing inventory concerns) into the active spring season.”
This year to date I’ve closed on six homes with sales totals over $4,500,000, with nine additional properties currently under contract. The downtown Chicago real estate market has been hot so far this spring. Currently homes in good condition, with great staging and priced well are moving very quickly. For both buyers and sellers, it seems now is the time to make a great move.
